Fernando Álvarez Lara: Fernando worked as a chemical engineer at Texas Instruments before entering the Jesuits in 1998 in Portland, Oregon. He was ordained in 2009. His most recent assignment was as liturgist at Regis University. He is a Doctor of Ministry candidate on his way to “Tertianship", the final stage of Jesuit formation. He will come back to Regis to teach full-time in the Religious Studies department in the Fall of 2017.
Fr. Kevin Burke: Fr. Burke, a faculty member at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara Berkeley, is currently a member of the Regis Jesuit Community while writing a book during his sabbatical year. He has also worked at Regis University, Boston College, and also served as Dean of the Jesuit School of Theology.
Fr. Dirk Dunfee: Fr. Dunfee works as a faculty member and chaplain in the College for Health Professions, teaching such courses as “Faith Traditions in Health Care” and “Health Care Ethics.” He also serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Regis Neighborhood Health Clinic and as Assistant Pastor at St. Ignatius Loyola parish in Denver. Prior to coming to Regis, he worked in a community health clinic serving low income families in Kansas City.
Fr. Jim Guyer: Fr. Guyer serves as the Chaplain for Young Alumni in the Office of Alumni Engagement. This most recent role follows a long career serving Regis University students and colleagues, including time as Chair of the Department of History and Politics in Regis College, Professor of East Asian History, and Director of Academic Advising. He has also served as Rector of the Regis Jesuit Community, Provincial Assistant for Higher Education, and Province Consultor. Fr. Guyer is a Colorado native and Regis alum.
Louis Hotop: Louis is a Jesuit regent preparing for ordination and the Pastoral Director at Arrupe Jesuit High School. Louie is a native of St. Louis and has worked in Belize, Central America
Fr. Tim McMahon: Fr. McMahon is President of Arrupe Jesuit High School in North Denver. Prior to this role he also served for six years as Provincial of the Missouri Province, Provincial Assistant for Secondary Education, and many other roles in Jesuit high schools and formation programs for young Jesuits.
Fr. Gary Menard: Fr. Menard is an Assistant Principal at Arrupe Jesuit High School following prior roles at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City. A native of St. Louis, he is an avid mountaineer and fly fisherman here in Colorado in his free time.
Fr. John Nugent: Recently ordained, Fr. Nugent works as an Assistant Principal at Arrupe Jesuit High School. Fr. Nugent is a native of Houston, Texas
Fr. John Fitzgibbons: Fr. Fitzgibbons is a native of Omaha, Neb., he entered the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus in 1973 and was ordained a priest in 1985. He continues to be active in research scholarship, especially in the relationship of religion and culture. He began his term as the 24th President of Regis University on June 1, 2012.
Fr. William Oulvey: Fr. Oulvey entered the Jesuits in 1974 and was ordained in 1985. He taught chemistry for ten years. He has lived and worked in the United States, Canada, Belize, and Rome. His last assignment was Rector of the Jesuit Community at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, where he also worked in the Mission Office.
Fr. Eustace Sequeira: Fr. Sequeira teaches “Jesuit Spirituality” and “Leading Lives that Matter” for the College of Contemporary Liberal Studies, which serves post-traditional adult learners. He also serves as a frequent sacramental minister at a number of Denver area parishes. Prior to his most recent time serving the Regis community, he also worked as pastor for St. Ignatius Loyola parish and in Rome for Vatican Radio.
Matt Stewart: Matt is a Jesuit regent preparing for ordination. Prior to joining the Jesuits, he worked as a faculty member at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City. He has graduate degrees in Philosophy, Religious Studies and Choral Conducting, and he currently teaches Religious Studies courses and works in University Ministry for Regis.
Jeackson Vargas: Jeackson is a Jesuit regent preparing for ordination, is a native of El Salvador and a member of the Central American Province. Jeackson directs the Service Project program at Arrupe Jesuit High School.
