What are the parking enforcement hours?

Paid on-campus parking is enforced starting on Monday at 6:00 a.m. through Friday at 4:00 p.m.  Parking on the streets in the surrounding neighborhood is subject to local and state regulations that are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What happens after hours of enforcement?

Paid parking is enforced Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. until 1 a.m. Vehicles parked on campus outside of these hours are not expected to pay for parking. Vehicles not in compliance with these regulations will be cited.

Will purchasing a permit guarantee me a parking space?

Paying for parking does not guarantee a parking space. We recommend allowing ample time for parking and getting to your location.

Are there assigned locations for faculty, staff and students to park?

No. Students, staff, faculty and visitors may park in any of the seven lots as long as their vehicle is registered. Overnight parking is only available in Lot 5 and Lot 7.

Can I store my vehicle on campus over break?

Yes, however, it’s important you check with the Parking and Transportation for the best place to park your vehicle.  Often construction and maintenance projects take place over long holidays, requiring vehicles to be relocated if parked without authorization. Owners of vehicles towed will be charged the cost of relocating their car. The University is not responsible for vehicles left on campus over break.

How do I register?

Registration for faculty, staff and students is done online by logging into ruparking.regis.edu

Visitors and guests can register through one of our many conveniently placed pay stations.

Will I need a login and password?

Yes. Regis community members will use their regis.net account credentials to gain access to RUParking.

Guests will need to create their own parking account if going through RUParking.

Pay Stations do not require any login or password.

How can I find my Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)?

A vehicle’s VIN is typically located on the driver's side of the dash, visible through the front windshield; on the inside of either door; on your registration and insurance documents.

How will I pay for a permit?

Residential and Commuter students with a vehicle will need to register their car through ruparking.regis.edu and pay by semester or academic year. Rates available to students may be found by clicking here. You may pay by credit card or come to the Office of Parking & Transportation in Main Hall 137 and pay by check.

Students not bringing a vehicle will not need to register on RUParking and are encouraged to use the WeCAR.

Faculty and Staff have three options to pay. See employee rate chart by clicking here.

Visitors and Guests can pay with credit cards or cash at a pay station.

What if I forget to register?

If you forget or choose not to register, you'll have to pay for parking as a visitor or your vehicle will receive a citation.

What happens if I sell my car?

Please notify the Parking and Transportation office. If you do not make the appropriate changes you will be held responsible for citations received.

I have multiple vehicles. Do I need to purchase a permit for each of them?

You may register multiple vehicles under a single permit; however, only one vehicle may be on campus at a time. Vehicles registered to a single permit parked simultaneously will be issued a parking citation. If you need to have more than one vehicle on campus at a single time, the additional vehicles must be paid for as visiting vehicles.

I do not have a RegisNet account because I’m affiliate faculty or a vendor. What now?

Please contact the Office of Parking and Transportation at 303-458-4391.

How will you know if someone is a visitor?

For the purposes of paying for parking, any vehicle not registered to a Regis Faculty/Student/Staff/Affiliate will be considered a visitor and will be expected to pay for parking on a daily basis.

Do I have to pay to park in a handicap space on campus if I have a disability placard?

Regis will be charging all vehicles for parking at the Northwest Denver Campus during enforcement hours. The possession of a valid ADA placard will not exempt someone from being charged for parking. The disabled parking permit must be in the name of the person that is parking on campus. It cannot be issued to a relative, family member or friend.

I have an electric or hybrid car. Do I have to pay if I park it on campus?

Yes. All vehicles must pay to park on campus Monday from 6:00 a.m. through Friday at 4:00 p.m.

If I carpool with someone and we take turns driving, do we both get a discounted rate for our permits?

While carpooling is encouraged, there is currently no formal carpool discount aside from the savings on sharing the cost of a single permit. Carpoolers should be aware that the primary permit owner is responsible for all citations received. Regis is not responsible for any disagreements regarding permit cost/savings or financial promises made between carpooling parties.

Can I get a refund if I choose to cancel my parking permit?

There is no refund on parking registrations.

What if I walk or bike to campus?

You will not have to pay to park on campus if you commute using a bike rather than a car. Regis has bike racks across campus. Please be advised that motorcycles are not allowed to park in bike racks and bicycles should only be parked in official areas marked for bicycle parking.

Is there an RU shuttle?

Yes. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m., Monday thru Friday with the exception of holidays and breaks. Pick up and drop off locations are in front of Loyola Hall, Clarke Hall, North end of Lot 5, and Lot 6 next to the soccer field.
