Choosing your major and career path is a journey. Here is a checklist of steps that we recommend taking through your decision-making process. This list of activities is designed to help you explore your options and make a solid, educated decision.

  • Complete the MyMajors.com assessment
  • Consider taking our career development course, PC 220 - College, Careers and Your Future
  • Determine your transferable skills
  • Identify career options that interest you through your research
  • Use the Linking Majors to Careers tool to research different jobs and career opportunities that are connected to specific majors
  • Meet with a faculty member in the major(s) you are interested in to discover more about the department and the program
  • Explore the Regis University Catalog to figure out what classes are offered and required for a given major
  • Be strategic with your part-time or summer job

3. Identify & Explore Options

  • Explore careers that fit with your skills and interests
  • Check out online career development resources
  • Conduct informational interviews with professionals in your field(s) of interest
  • Consider focused volunteering
  • Take a class or two in your area(s) of interest
