Building Community in the Townhomes: Residence Village at a Glance

Residence Village, our newest housing facility, has a front desk that is staffed throughout the day, as well as Resident Assistants and Peer Ministers who serve the students in the building complex. It comprises four different buildings, providing a comfortable sense of a neighborhood nestled right into the campus.  Each Residence Village unit comprises three bedrooms, two (or two and a half) baths, a private washer-dryer, a full kitchen, and a furnished living room. Alcohol in the form of beer or wine is permitted at these residences to residents over 21, if in accordance with the Residence Life alcohol policy.  Residence Village offers close access to the O’Sullivan Art Gallery, the playing fields, Clarke Hall, the Mail Room, and the Field House.

The most notable features of Residence Village include its comfortable living rooms and open kitchen designs in all of its units.  Residents appreciate the large bedrooms and having multiple bathrooms to share amongst housemates.  Another key feature of Residence Village is its lounge area.  Being the only upperclass-only student housing option on campus, Residence Village is co-ed by unit, and students are living amongst those who may be different years in school.  Residence Village has dynamic programming to serve the needs of all of its residents, keeping in mind that they are upperclass students who are in relatively independent housing.

The Residence Village staff works together to promote educational, social, and cultural development of Regis students. All staff members are trained in referring residents to the appropriate resources on campus, proving to be a great ongoing resource for all residents. The staff also acts as role models to promote campus involvement, resident hall community, and faith development.

Rooms in Residence Village are 15’ x 14’. While furniture is originally set with desks, beds, and chests of drawers located on resident’s respective sides of the room, many roommates choose to customize how their room looks by shifting the height of their beds and rearranging the furniture.  To view an interactive map of a Residence Village  student room, click on one of the links below.
