Meet Our Staff Karim Sanchez-Pasillas I am a senior majoring in Health and Exercise Science. My love for movement arose from an accident. When I was thirteen a car struck me as I was crossing the street; the impact broke my left leg resulting in a full leg cast. I was dependent on others for three months, losing my independence was a challenge. I became obese due to my physical limitations and unhealthy food choices. Once cleared to exercise I overhauled my lifestyle because I was itching to get moving again. I no longer take movement for granted. I earned my certification as a personal trainer through ACSM January 2012. Mentored by Mark DeBord in various forms of training techniques since 2010. My specialties include: Mental strength, Kettlebells, TRX, TRX Rip Trainer, breathing techniques, and more, if you want to try something new let me know. Previous Experience Worked with people as young as 12 year old and with people with 58 years of life experience. Helped a woman get off her inhaler and fit in her jeans from senior year of high school I have helped a client gain 27 pounds of muscle in one year by improving his meal plan, and I am currently helping him prepare for a body building competition. Helped various clients achieve their health and wellness goals. My goal is to help you fall in love with the process of improving yourself through gaining a new perspective for movement and challenging you to surpass your goals. Eva Tucker I’m a senior studying Health and Exercise Science and I’m planning to attend Physical Therapy school in the future but right now, I’m just gaining some experience and enjoying training different people. I have always loved playing and watching sports. I used to play soccer in high school but now I just have a passion for staying fit and being healthy so I love helping others do the same. Tara Van Cleave I am currently a Health and Exercise Science, pre-Physical Therapy major. I played club volleyball throughout high school, but I’ve dabbled in other sports such as soccer and swimming. I have experience training with people currently in physical therapy and recovering from injuries. I look forward to working with new clients! Meet Our Interns No interns at the current time.
