Laudato Si' and the SEED Institute

Pope Francis on the Global Environment

"The urgent challenge to protect our common home includes a concern to bring the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development, for we know that things can change."

The SEED Institute draws inspiration from Laudato Si' On Care for Our Common Home, an encyclical letter written by Pope Francis in May 2015 as an urgent call to address the dire consequences of climate change around the world. Our mission is to catalyze economic and enterprise development that stewards natural and human resources through research, teaching and community partnerships. The center will foster the merger of Regis resources with community needs through featured speakers, colloquia, and community roundtables. We will provide a hub of sustainability information for our Regis family as well as for our community partners through our website, social media, and faculty sustainability directory. You can be sure we will reach out for your participation as we get these projects under way, such as Earth Week. Stay tuned for updates on SEED and other initiatives in the College of Business and Economics on the CBE's Events calendar on Facebook.
