Program Overview

Offered both online and on-campus, the 12-credit-hour graduate academic certificate in Executive Information Technology explores methods and practices for positioning technology to achieve organizational objectives and contribute to positive organizational transformation. By studying the ethical implications of technology, students are directed to look at positive, and potentially harmful, applications of technology to maximize the positive and avoid or mitigate negative aspects.

After studying the topics of strategic information technology and ethics in IT, students may choose two courses from a range of applicable curricula including business process engineering, supply chain management, knowledge management, IT project management, emerging technologies and more.

A candidate for one of the academic certificate programs must possess the prerequisite skills for entry into one of the College of Computer & Information Sciences (CC&IS) programs and the specific prerequisite skills/knowledge identified in each certificate program.

Regis University’s CC&IS graduate academic certificates are designed for students who seek new career opportunities, are looking to enhance their work-related knowledge and skills and to advance themselves educationally. The graduate academic certificate represents a selection of courses from the Master of Science programs. These courses could eventually be included in a CC&IS graduate student's program of study or stand alone as courses beyond the degree requirements.

Materials Needed for Application and Admission

Applicants seeking a graduate academic certificate from the College of Computer & Information Sciences (CC&IS) must possess a baccalaureate degree in any field of study from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.

Academic graduate certificates from CC&IS require students to have sufficient knowledge and/or experience in database application, programming, computer networking and systems analysis and design. This is assessed for each applicant during the admission interview. Knowledge and experience can be supplemented by courses in these prerequisite areas.

  • Complete the online certificate application
  • Application fee: $50.00 non-refundable application fee (waived for Regis University graduates)
  • Submit official degree-bearing transcript within 30 days of the date of application. Official transcript must reflect a baccalaureate degree awarded from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university. If official transcript is not received within 30 days you will be unable to register for future courses until the transcript is received. A complete file can be reviewed by faculty with a copy of the unofficial degree-bearing transcript from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university. Official transcript must be sent directly from your previously attended school to the Office of Admissions.
