Leadership CORE Scholars ABOUT THE AWARD Whether you major in Peace and Justice Studies, History and Politics, Business or Computer Science – you can be a Regis scholar and an aspiring leader. Maybe your passion is related to health and wellness or the profession of nursing. Fine arts and music? Whatever your calling, Regis University values Cura Personalis, care of the whole person. And we believe that we are all part of a movement of Inspired Leaders. This is your opportunity to compete for one of four full-tuition Leadership CORE scholarships and several variable awards that promote Diversity, Meaning, Environmental Awareness, and Justice. All majors may apply. Leadership CORE Scholars The award recipients may have the option to participate in the Regis Corps Leadership Certificate program, the Engaged Scholar Activist program, or a number of other leadership positions on campus. The four-year awards are renewable based on 3.0 GPA The awards may be used toward an approved one-semester study abroad program. IMPORTANT DATES Priority registration deadline: Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 by 5 p.m. MST for Scholarship Weekend held Friday, Feb. 3 & Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 Priority registration deadline: Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 for Scholarship Weekend held Friday, Feb. 17 & Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 Award recipient notification for all scholarships is Friday, March 3, 2017 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS All candidates must be admitted for Fall Semester, 2017 Must demonstrate leadership in one or more of the following: high school clubs and organizations, athletics, outside organizations, internships and community employment Must demonstrate commitment to service and community involvement Must display academic achievement that complements the applicant's leadership ability SCHOLARSHIP CONSIDERATION Complete and submit the essay by the registration deadline for your preferred weekend As soon as you’ve registered and submitted your essay we’ll send you further instructions on preparing for the competition.
