College of Computer & Information Sciences Launched

First college in Colorado fully dedicated to the field

More than 100 Regis students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees and industry and community leaders celebrated the official launch of Regis’ new College of Computer & Information Sciences (CC&IS)  on September 16. The first initiative to come out of Regis’ Strategic Plan, it is the first new college in more than two decades.

The new college was formed the through strengths of Regis’ three pre-existing colleges – Regis College, the College for Professional Studies and the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, illustrating that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

CCIS  aims to provide students more than just technical skills. The curriculum engages students in understanding the impact of technology in an increasingly digital world. Students are asked to consider how they can use technology, their knowledge and skills to improve their own lives and the communities in which they live and work.
