Matt, RC '04, and Carmela, RC '04, Buschy Regis University is where we met and where we started our family. We were introduced through mutual friends our freshman year, started playing intramural sports together, fell in love and were engaged by our senior year of college. Two months after graduation we got married and lived close to the Northwest Denver Campus for the next six years. Both of us studied business; Carmela became a CPA and worked for an accounting firm in Denver before becoming a full-time parent to our three children, and Matt began in financial planning and moved into a sales career that has taken the family across the United States and eventually back to Denver. Regis has been an important part of our family – even today our kids love coming to campus to visit Matt’s mother, Bonnie Buschy, who works in University Advancement – and it is a great resource for the community. We are still very close to our Regis friends and family who constantly remind us to live in the service of others every day. We give back to the University because we were both very fortunate to go to a school with great people and develop strong relationships with the faculty and administration. We hope our gift will make it possible for others to have the same experience. Matt and Carmela Buschy are two of the nearly 4,100 Regis University donors who made contributions and commitments in the 2014-15 fiscal-year totaling over $12 million. THANK YOU, Matt and Carmela, and every member of the Regis community who gives back to Regis services, programs, scholarships and students each year.
