Regis University has named Robert “Roby” G. Blust the vice president of enrollment management and Salvador D. Aceves as the vice president and chief financial officer.

Blust comes from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where he served as the dean of admission and enrollment planning for Marquette University. Blust’s new role focuses his talents on implementing growth and retention strategies for Regis University, the Rocky Mountain’s only Jesuit university. Blust served as the director of admissions for Regis University in the early ’90s and is eager to return to the university when he begins his new role June 30.

Blust will lead Regis University’s offices of Admissions, Marketing and Communications, Institutional Analytics, Athletics and Enrollment Services. At Marquette, he managed undergraduate admissions for seven undergraduate colleges. Blust has served as the director of undergraduate admissions for Loyola University in Chicago. He holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education.

Regis University President John Fitzgibbons, S.J. said he is excited to welcome Blust back to Regis, given his experience with the university and his familiarity with Jesuit higher education.

“Roby has earned a truly excellent reputation among Jesuit higher education admissions officers as an innovator with a very steady hand,” Fitzgibbons said. “The wisdom and experience Roby brings to Regis will help propel our university into a more competitive and pronounced future.”

On May 6, Salvador D. Aceves became Regis University’s vice president and chief financial officer, heading the offices of Information Technology Services, Physical Plant, Campus Safety, and Finance and Budget.

Aceves comes to Regis University from Fordham University in New York where he served as associate vice president of academic financial planning and analysis.

“Salvador brings a great deal of experience to our leadership team at Regis University,” Fr. Fitzgibbons said. “He is an accomplished and many-times published academician with a doctorate in education. While teaching at the School of Business and Management at the University of San Francisco, Salvador was selected as the Outstanding Professor of the Year five times. We are thrilled to have him joining our team.”
