Oktoberfest has ended. You’ve unbuckled, hung (and hopefully dry cleaned) the Lederhosen. And your room only vaguely now smells of sauerkraut and pork knuckle.
Oh, but wait. What’s this? Could there be another reason to retrieve your stately stein and polish your pint glasses? Has this month provided us with, once again, an excuse to blissfully wipe foam from our upper lips with our shirt sleeves?
Yes, my friends. On October 27, we indulge for National American Beer Day.
That’s right, an entire day allocated to honoring the talent and hard work of our brewers around the country. You get it. And you’re excited. But please, calm down so you don’t prematurely ‘cheers’ anyone. We’re looking at you, Chad. Put your glass down.
Here at Regis University, we are proud to ice our mugs when celebratory duties call. And it just so happens we love it so much that we’ve created a Certificate in Applied Craft Brewing – a 12-month, part-time program supported by local brewers serving on our Professional Brewing Advisory Board.
Courses for the certificate are taught in the evenings, allowing those with full-time jobs the opportunity to enroll. If you’re looking to refine your skills as a master brewer, successfully break into the craft beer industry, and even become a certified beer judge, you’ve found your perfect pour. You’ll learn the biology, chemistry and business of brewing, and participate in an on-site practicum at a brewery.
Just imagine, it’s National American Beer Day and you’re sitting, crisp fall weather, swaddled in flannel, savoring each ice cold guzzle of your own masterfully crafted brew. Is there anything better?
No. No, there is not.
So, to quote (sort of) the late Judy Garland, “Forget your troubles, come on, get hoppy.” Your passion for beer has been fermenting a while and now it’s time to take action. Simply click here for more information, or speak to an admissions counselor by calling 800-944-7667.
