Skills on Lockdown

“We all live in the age of information. Every trace of our existence is computerized, everything about us is encoded somewhere, on a complex network of information.”

We’ll give you a couple guesses as to who said this quote.

An FBI informant? Perhaps Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google? Maybe an influential public speaker, addressing the dangers of identity left and social media.

Well, no. It was taken from the trailer of the 1995 film, The Net, staring Sandra Bullock. Yup. Twenty-two years ago, before cell phones and social platforms ruled the planet, we were beginning to feel the growing pains of a world becoming exponentially interconnected.

This (hilariously old) script for a (cheesy) trailer is still relevant because, though our technology is evolving, the possible threat to our security and the complexity it requires to protect ourselves and our businesses still reigns. It’s no wonder that a study found that by 2020 there will be more than 1.5 million unfilled positions in the field of cyber security. Because we’ll need you more than ever.

At Regis University, we’re known for having an ear to the proverbial ground, continuously tailoring our degrees to fulfill current and impending skills gaps. Our Master of Science in Information Technology Management (ITM) is perfect for those who aspire to move into technical leadership positions and expand their influence on business operations.

And it is, of course, not limited to cyber security. Here are a list of other emphasis areas within the M.S. in ITM program at Regis:
