Strategic Plan Announced

Today Regis University announced a new strategic plan, comprised of seven key initiatives to advance and evolve the university’s reputation as a premier, globally-engaged institution of learning in the Jesuit tradition that prepares leaders to live productive lives of faith, meaning and service.

Regis is on the rise. The seven initiatives as part of the strategic plan reflects a new chapter in our institution’s growth:

  • College of Computer and Information Sciences – This involves combining academic units from all three existing colleges: School of Computer and Information Science from CPS, the computer science major from Regis College, and the health information management and health informatics programs from RHCHP, has the potential to become a major new enrollment driver for Regis. This will launch in the latter half of 2014.
  • College of Business and Management – This combines the School of Management in CPS and the Division of Business in Regis College to develop a distinctive market niche by emphasizing our Jesuit mission and ethical values and focus on academic areas. This will launch 2015.
  • Promoting a culture of innovation - Entrepreneurial engagement and partnership with the Denver, regional, national and international communities.
  • Experiential learning opportunities for all University students - Expand access to internships, service learning opportunities, immersion experiences, community-based course projects, further developing a strong alumni mentoring network to engage them with the Regis community.
  • Global learning community at Regis - Develop a strong infrastructure/support network for international students who attend Regis.
  • Advancing our Jesuit, Catholic character - Expand the Institute on the Common Good as a resource for faculty, the Regis and local communities, along with curriculum development and research.
  • Cultivate Health Project - This project focuses on addressing the health needs of the community from four census tracts around Regis.

“As we move from the planning to the implementation phase of the strategic plan, your continued interest and engagement are critical,” Regis President, John P. Fitzgibbons, S.J., stated in his letter to the Regis community. “Together, we have envisioned an ambitious path for Regis University, one that will shape our future in the years to come.”
