Regis University’s College for Professional Studies (CPS) recently awarded 18 scholarships to 18 community college students valued at nearly $140,000. The scholarships were based on successful academic achievement and service to the community.

"Each year, we are pleased to award several scholarships to exceptional community college students transferring from a two-year program to a bachelor's degree program at Regis," said Deborah Lloyd, CPS associate director of marketing and new student enrollment.

Community College Scholarships were awarded to: Joseph Minicucci, Arapahoe Community College; Justin Rojas, Community College of Aurora; Rachel Jones, Community College of Denver; Laura Rutz, Front Range Community College; Adama Yocam, Morgan Community College; Samuel Masters, Pike Peak Community College; and Corissa Bowman, Red Rocks Community College.
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships were awarded to: Nicole Gargano, Central Piedmont Community College; Patricia Combs, Community College of Aurora; Colleen Alarcon, Julie Almquist, Misako Calson, and Darlene Zigray, Front Range Community College; Areta Granger, Pikes Peak Community College; Lyndsy Heffner, Pikes Peak Community College; Noel Daring, Red Rocks Community College and Robin White, Red Rocks Community College.
Hannah Simpson- Red Rocks Community College, received the Vice President's Community College Scholarship.

“Being selected for the Community College Scholarship at Regis University is an honor,” said Bowman. “I have already taken a couple of classes here and I am proud to be part of this community of high-caliber learners.”
Regis University created the Associate's to Bachelor's® Program as a transfer option to community college students. Students can remain in the community college taking a third year of courses while at the community college and transfer to Regis University for their fourth and final year.
