Rangers Fall on the Road, 85-67 to Cougars Sarah Otterman | January 12, 2013 DENVER, Colo.: Regis women's basketball dropped their second game on the road this weekend to the Cougars of Colorado Christian University. The Rangers were down 51-34 after the first half, put up a big performance in the second, but could not even the score to snag the win. Senior Sarah Feeney put up another big offensive performance with 26 points on the night. She hit nine from the field, including two from long distance and a perfect six-for-six from the charity stripe. She also had seven rebounds against CCU. Junior Tae'lor Purdy had a double-double on the night with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Rangers. With this performance, the native of Agate, Colo. scored her 1,006th career point. She is only the 16th player in Regis women's basketball history to score over 1,000 points. Senior Kaitie Vader was instrumental on offense as well, netting 12 points against the Cougars. She also had two assists and two steals on the night. The Rangers, now 6-7 and 5-4 in the RMAC, hit 32.8 from the field, 33.3 from three point range and 72.4 from the charity stripe. Regis will return home on Friday, January 18 to take on the SkyHawks of Fort Lewis College at 5:00 p.m.
