Caitlin O’Brien named USTFCCCA Academic All-American Sarah Otteman | May 08, 2013 Regis University women's cross country runner Caitlin O'Brien was named to the USTFCCCA Academic All-America team after her performance on and off the course during the 2012 season. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in NCAA Division II, the student-athlete must have accumulated a 3.25 grade point average or greater through the most recent semester, completed at least 12 credit hours in the semester of cross country competition, and placed in the top 50 percent at the most recent NCAA national championships or top 30 percent at the NCAA regional championship. O'Brien, originally from St. Louis, Mo., maintained a 3.923 grade point average while studying Social Sciences at Regis. She was the Rangers top runner this year after finishing as the top runner in most races this year for the team. The senior was also named Academic All-RMAC Second Team in 2012 for RU.
