Degree Overview

The minor in computer science is designed to show students the basic social applications of programming, software engineering, and the theoretical foundations of computer. Students will learn how a random sequence of 0's and 1's contains all possible knowledge and that the human mind can solve only a certain set of problems using rational thought.

Using cellular automaton pictures, students will see how to build fully functional computers from all kinds of parts -- DNA, colliding billiard balls, and even ski moguls!
