Professional Bio

  • Ph.D.,  Purdue University
  • M.A., Colorado State University
  • B.A., Rhetoric, Fort Lewis College

I have studied rhetoric, writing program administration, and writing across the disciplines. My interests surround the ways that we use written language in power structures, and how we teach writing to help make sure that students have the best opportunities to use writing to change the world. My current research is around the way that the Jesuit tradition has talked about rhetoric, the ways that science writing is changing with the use of new media, and international writing practices.
