Rebecca Taylor is the author of Ascendant (Ophelia House), winner of the 2014 Colorado Book Award, Midheaven, and The Exquisite and Immaculate Grace of Carmen Espinoza (Ophelia House).

She obtained her B.A. in psychology and sociology from the University of Colorado, Denver and her Ed.S. in school psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to writing, Taylor also works as a psychologist in the Denver area schools, supporting, and advocating for, special-needs children.

While she loves to work with writers in any genre of young adult literature, Rebecca is especially interested in working with writers who have a “literary edge” to their work. Think: Literary-Horror, Literary-Romance, Literary-Sci-Fi, Literary-Fantasy. Basically, you’re every editor’s dream—you win awards and you’ll sell thousands of copies by walking that line between literary and commercial young adult. So simple—no?
