Professional Bio

Denise Vega is the award-winning author of four books for middle school and young adult readers, including her blog books: Click Here (to find out how i survived seventh grade) – a Scholastic Book Club/Fair bestselling title and a Colorado Book Award winner – and Access Denied (and other eighth grade error messages) as well as Fact of Life #31 (Colorado Book Award winner) and Rock On (Colorado Book Award finalist).

Vega has taught writing classes and workshops for a variety of organizations, community education and enrichment programs, and has spoken and presented at a number of conferences. She is on the faculty at Lighthouse Writers Workshop in Denver, teaching a range of classes on children's books. She lives in Denver with her family where she writes, reads, runs, watches too much Netflix, avoids cheese and embraces French fries.

Vega looks forward to working with writers of middle grade and young adult fiction in all genres (contemporary realistic, historical, paranormal, fantasy, etc).
