In January 2016 the music world lost one of its most iconoclastic personalities: composer, conductor and new music promoter Pierre Boulez. With his uncompromising artistic integrity and visionary creativity, he inspired generations of composers, performers and concertgoer. The Playground Ensemble celebrates the achievement of the influential figure with a multimedia concert event featuring live chamber music performances and video clips.

Bach Meets Vivaldi – The elegance of Bach meets the exuberance of Vivaldi in a lively celebration of Baroque virtuosity with concertos for two violins, four violins, and two harpsichords, plus new arrangements from the timeless Goldberg Variations. Featured soloists are violinists Cynthia Miller Freivogel and Martin Davids, cellist Lara Turner, and harpsichordists Andrus Madsen and Frank Nowell.
