Incoming First-Year Student Admissions

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a first step. We're here to help you take the first step on your academic journey. Once you submit your application, we'll begin our review process. Applications for incoming first-year students are evaluated on the basis of high school record, personal essay and a counselor or teacher recommendation, if submitted.

Application Materials

Online Application: Regis accepts both the Common Application and the Regis Application, and gives equal consideration to both.

Transcripts: Request official high school transcripts be forwarded to Regis University's Office of Admissions. Transcripts must be official and may not be stamped Student Copy. Learn more on our Official Transcripts page.

 

Admissions Timeline

All other Regis applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions policy, but early submission of all application materials is encouraged.

Summer/Fall of your senior year: Visit us on campus! Any time of year is great to visit, but as you start applying to schools we highly recommend coming to take a tour of campus, meet your admissions counselor and see firsthand what life at Regis is like.

Oct. 1: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens.
Oct. 1: Early Decision application deadline
Dec. 1: Priority deadline for applications to nursing programs
April 22: Priority deadline for applications to all other programs and for full scholarship/financial aid consideration
May 1: Enrollment deposit due

AP, IB and College Credit

Regis awards credit for College Board Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. In addition, Regis will evaluate course work completed at a college or university on an individual basis.

Regis University evaluates applications on a rolling basis, however, we encourage you to apply as soon as you know you'd like to be a Regis Ranger. The priority application deadline for incoming first-year students is April 22, and the deadline to submit your deposit to hold your spot is May 1.

The priority deadline for applications to our Nursing program is December 1.

The scholarship and financial aid (FAFSA) priority deadline for maximum consideration of institutional funds is April 22, however, please keep in mind that the FAFSA opens in October and federal financial aid is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. We encourage you to file your FAFSA as early as possible.

Regis University is a test-optional institution. When they apply, students can choose if they want their ACT or SAT scores to be used as part of the review process.

Applicants who want to submit test scores must have them sent to Regis directly from the testing agency.

Once you have submitted all necessary documentation required for your complete admission application package and an admission decision has been made, you will receive an email notifying you of your admission status, as well as a letter in the mail. The turn-around time between your application submittal and notification of your admission decision is largely dependent on the degree program you are applying for, but we aim to process admissions decisions within 4 weeks.

Regis University accepts transfer students and transfer credit in many different ways. As a bachelor’s degree student, you may be able to transfer up to 87 credits toward your degree program. To find out more information about transferring credit, visit our Transfer Students page.

To check the status of your application, contact your admissions counselor. Applications are reviewed by the Office of Admissions as soon as they are complete. Admission decisions are issued after receiving your completed application, including your online application, official high school transcripts, personal statement or essay, optional ACT or SAT scores and one letter of recommendation.

Additional application materials may be required of transfer students or international applicants.
