Cindy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo in 2002 and her Master of Arts in Counseling and Counselor Education with a concentration in couples and family therapy, in 2007. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado and is pending licensure as a marriage and family therapist. Cindy has been working in community mental health and private practice for the past three years and has developed a strong interest in relationship counseling. She has experience with couples, families, adolescents, and individual adults in a variety of settings. She has also worked with children in foster care, children on the Autism spectrum, and adults with severe and chronic mental illness. Cindy most enjoys helping people become more authentic and real in their daily living. She believes that being true to oneself leads to real choices in life and that pretending or trying to please others often leads to depression, anxiety, unsatisfying relationships, and less healthful living. Cindy is a Registered Therapy Dog Handler with American Humane/Delta Society, and works with her Registered Therapy Dog, Joey, on a case-by-case basis to facilitate the development of communication skills, social skills, healthy relationships, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
