Each workshop listed below can be presented in a brief format (less than one hour) to an extended format (up to half a day), and will be presented by the Office of Counseling and Personal Development (OCPD) staff members.

Taking a New Look at Substance Abuse - education, awareness and prevention
Entering a Stress-Free Zone - self-care, relaxation techniques, meditation, mindfulness, anxiety reduction
You are Perfect...Demystifying the Myth of Body Perfection -education about eating disorders, healthy body image/eating habits, triggers and treatment
Kiss & Tell, Healthy Relationships - dating, conflict resolution, communication skills
Adjusting to College Life--homesickness, making friends, campus resources, how to manage feeling sad or anxious
Sleep/Food/Mood - the interaction between what we eat, how we sleep and our mood. Includes tips on healthy snacks, maintaining a healthy sleep cycle and maintaining energy throughout the day.
Suicide Prevention/QPR Training -Question Persuade Refer (QPR) training and self-injurious behaviors. Provides information on how to recognize signs when someone might be suicidal and how to refer them for professional help.
Meet and Greet the OCPD-- describes OCPD services and answering general questions from students. This presentation is a great way to provide students with a name and face of OCPD so that they are more comfortable seeking our services in the future (covered in all presentations in a brief format).
