Residence Life
Residence Life manages four on-campus student housing facilities: the Residence Village, DeSmet Hall, O'Connell Hall and West Hall. It also manages two off-campus housing options: Ignatian Village and Pomponio Village. In doing so, they staff and maintain the buildings as well as assist the residents of the buildings.
During the academic year, each residence hall is staffed by a Residence Life Coordinator (professional staff member), an Assistant Residence Life Coordinator, many Resident Assistants, as well as Peer Ministers. These staff members collaborate in their work to ensure and promote the quality of community life in the hall through educational programming, career development, spiritual guidance, social activities and advising.
Each residential room is fully furnished and all units include internet access and free local phone service (phone jacks are provided in all units; only IgnatianVillage provides a land-line phone). The residential facilities are co-ed by wing, suite, townhome, or floor. All of the residence halls feature 24-hour computer labs, free laundry, and community lounges with expanded basic cable television.
First-year students live primarily in either O'Connell Hall or DeSmet Hall, while upperclass students (sophomores, juniors and seniors) are eligible to live in West Hall, Ignatian Village, and Residence Village. Juniors and seniors may also apply to live in Pomponio Village. Please see Student Housing for more information on the amenities of each building.
