Re-connect with friends. Make new friends. Enrich your faith. Discern God’s will in your life.

University Ministry offers a retreat program rooted in Ignatian Spirituality that accompanies students at all phases of their faith life and development. We provide opportunities for prayer, reflection and discernment. Recognizing that college is a formative time, we hope to be a source of support for you on your journey.

Connections

October 2013

Specifically designed for first-year students, this weekend retreat tackles obstacles which come with the first-year college experience. A team of sophomores, juniors and seniors lead small group discussions, hikes, trust games, prayer and various recreational activities.

Connections is a great chance to meet lifelong friends and commit to spiritual living throughout the college journey. This retreat is held at YMCA Camp Santa Maria in Grant, CO

For more information, contact the Connections Retreat Team in the Office of University Ministry. Check out some photos on the University Ministry Facebook Page! Search for "Regis U Min."

Urban Plunge

March 2-3, 2013

The "Urban Plunge" is an overnight immersion experience that invites personal and societal transformation. The Plunge explores root causes of homelessness by engaging in personal relationships with those who are currently homeless and those who serve the homeless population on a daily basis.

Compass Retreat

February 15-17, 2013

Not sure which way to go? Juniors and seniors are invited to participate in this retreat focusing on the Ignatian principles of discernment—prayerful decision making. This retreat is designed to help guide participants through a prayerful process of discerning where God is inviting them on the next steps of their journey. The skills learned and practiced will be helpful in facing a lifetime of important decisions!

Men's and Women's Retreats

Spring, 2013

Gender-based retreats offer students a chance to reflect on and embrace the unique gifts and challenges of spirituality (and life!) lived as a woman or a man.  Relaxed nad fun, plan on laughing a great deal, eating good food and returning rejuvenated for the rest of the semester.

Silent, Directed Retreat

January 7-10, 2013

The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola have been a source of inspiration for the Jesuits and others for the past 500 years.  This retreat offers students a glimpse into the profound gift of silence.  It may sound intimidating, but you will be amazed by how much you appreciate time spent alone, letting God love you just as you are.  Participants will meet daily with a spiritual director who will help guide their prayer.

Kairos

Spring Semester 2014

Kairos - God's time - gives students an opportunity to look inside themselves and at the relationships they have with others, asking them how they can live with a heart of love and service.

Open to all sophomores, juniors and seniors, Kairos explores the interaction of self and community and challenges retreatants to live each day with purpose. Though it involves traditional elements of retreats (small group discussion, prayer, outdoor activities, teambuilding, etc.), Kairos is a retreat experience unlike any other, an experience which pushes and changes retreat participants beyond expectations. Held at YMCA Camp Santa Maria in Grant, CO.

For more information, contact the Kairos Retreat Team in the Office of University Ministry.
