Welcome Winter with Snow Week
A recent tradition stemming from the annual First Snow celebration – and not quite a decade old – Snow Week is the Winter Festival. Celebrated sometime between mid-November and early December, Snow Week falls nicely between midterms and finals and happens regardless of snowfall. Popular Snow Week activities include Snow Dodge ball on the quad (at night, under the lights in 30 degree temperatures), Snow Bingo, the Snow Ball and the annual Ice Queen Competition. Like Mr. Regis, it’s difficult to accurately capture the Ice Queen competition in words – for it generally involves feats of strength, feats of comic proportions and generally much better talent than those displayed by our Mr. Regis contestants.
