Regis Athletics, Family and Alumni Engagement and the Office of Student Activities are excited to invite you to our 2015 Family and Legacy Weekend. This year we’ve decided to combine two great long-standing Regis traditions, Athletic Legacy Weekend and Family Weekend, to bring families, students, student athletes and alumnus together for a weekend of great fun and connection. Whether your family just joined the Regis family or have been part of it for generations, we want you to enjoy the campus and the opportunity to spend some quality time with your student in the beauty of a Colorado fall.

Kicking off on the afternoon of Thursday, October 1st we have a very full 3 day weekend of trips, activities, entertainment, food, events and athletic games for the entire family. The fun kicks off with Thursday Thrills, a regular and very popular late night event on campus, featuring mentalist Craig Karges – an entertainer that will blow (or perhaps read) your mind.

On Friday, October 2nd there are no classes – so we’re going to start early with the opportunity to join us for one of several excursions into Denver and greater Colorado. There will be a Zipline Tour, a trip to Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park turns 100), an excursion to the Denver First Friday Santa Fe Art Walk, and an evening capped off by a concert by a Capella performers  “Streetcorner Symphony” (from the hit TV show “The Sing Off”). You're also invited to cheer on our women's volleyball team for a home match against Western State in the Regis Field House.

Saturday there will be plenty to do as well. We will start off the day with the Father Charlie Shelton Golf Tournament, now in its 2nd year, which honors the late “Padre” and his commitment to mentoring student-athletes. As the former chaplain to the baseball and men’s soccer teams, the proceeds from the tournament go towards an endowed scholarship in the name of Father Shelton. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a service opportunity with the Fr. Woody program, enjoy free burgers and brats on the quad, and tailgate before the volleyball game against CSU-Pueblo. Cap your day off by bringing the whole family to Casino Night after the match and support our student athletes and their programs. Try your hand at table games and enjoy music, food, a cash bar and win great prizes!

On Sunday, we’ll start the day with a fantastic 9am brunch with Regis University Provost Dr. Pat Ladewig, who will give a brief update on the University, followed by Mass. (You can do Mass, you can do brunch or you can do them both.) After Mass head on over to the match pitch and catch a Regis soccer match.

These are just a sampling of the activities rounding out the fun and memorable weekend we have planned for you. You can check out the full line-up on the family weekend schedule, and register for events, by clicking the schedule and registration buttons on this right side of this page. We look forward to seeing you in October!
