Promoting Health & Wellness Through the Science of Movement
Our School of Physical Therapy faculty and students are committed to study the science of movement and how movement promotes the overall health and wellness of those that we serve. We integrate the latest evidence into our teaching, clinical practice and research efforts and are proud to be among the forefront of evidence-based practice in physical therapy. Our multiple programs within the School are intended to match where you might be in your career path and each is recognized for their unique style of excellence.
Since our inception in 1994, we have been known as visionaries whose goal is to move the profession of physical therapy forward. We were one of the first 25 schools to move to the DPT in 2001. To support undergraduate students in Regis College, our Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science helps you to prepare for graduate education in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Sports Medicine, Public Health, and other related fields. We also offer advanced post-graduate professional education for licensed physical therapists looking to earn fellowship recognition in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. Since 2007, 100 percent of School of Physical Therapy DPT graduates have found employment in the field in the first six months after passing their licensure examination.
Our faculty are the best in the nation, spirited by their personal commitment to teaching while accomplished in scholarly pursuits that develop and support "best practice" in Physical Therapy. They are indeed experts in all that they do. Faculty role model the integration of teaching, scholarship, practice and leadership while encouraging students to engage in healthy dialogue that acknowledges the importance of human interaction within our field.
