CAREER SERVICES’ DEPARTMENTAL MISSION

Career Services is dedicated to educating and empowering Regis University students and alumni of all ages to make informed career choices. We believe career planning is a developmental process that needs to be fostered throughout the lifespan. As an integral part of this process, we serve as the link to career resources in the University, the business, government, and nonprofit sectors of the economy, and the community at large. Our fundamental goals are focused on:

• Assisting and guiding our students and alumni in positive and realistic self-assessment;
• Helping them make appropriate and meaningful personal and career choices; and
• Facilitating their development and implementation of effective job search strategies in a changing world.

In performing this mission, Career Services provides resources and opportunities to assist students and alumni in investigating the world of work and exploring and pursuing their occupational interests in the following ways:

• Identifying skills, interests and abilities, and career related values in order to set academic and career goals;
• Teaching the process of gathering, understanding, and using job market information;
• Increasing effectiveness in conducting a job search campaign;
• Providing listings of current full- and part-time job openings, and
• Offering on-campus opportunities to meet and interview with representatives from a wide range of employers.

Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm -- Monday through Friday. Evening appointments also available.
Closed 10:30 am to noon Tuesdays and 9:00 am to noon every 4th Tuesday.

All Regis students and alumni are served by appointment and during open hours. Open hour times are Wednesdays, 12:30-1:30 pm and Thursdays 4:30-6:00 pm. Please note, Open Résumé Hours are cancelled for holidays.

Closed on campus holidays and staff training days: Sept. 1, 2008, Nov. 26-28, Dec. 24-26, Dec. 31, Jan. 1-2, 2009, Jan. 19, April 10, May 25.
