Established in 2001, this group commissioned by the President and chaired by the Provost consists of full-time faculty and staff members representing each of the three schools of the University and involves every aspect of university life. The group is charged with implementing the university’s Diversity Action Plan in such a way that every member of the university community knows about it, is committed to it, and becomes responsible for it.
The diversity facilitators are a group of trained faculty and staff members whose primary charge is to promote diversity awareness through in-service workshops and programs for the Regis University community. The Mission of the Regis University Diversity Facilitators is to offer an array of diverse educational resources to faculty staff and students by providing opportunities for trainings, workshops, seminars, conversations and dialogues that increase awareness knowledge and competencies about human similarities and differences that make up the diversity of our community. This branch of the Student Government in Regis College plans events to encourage and promote cultural diversity among students, faculty and staff.
The mission of the Asian American Association is to build a relationship among Asian students, to increase diversity on campus by sharing Asian cultures, values and experiences, to promote Asian awareness to the Regis community.
The mission of the Black Student Alliance at Regis University is to promote Black awareness to the campus, community and to improve the life of students living both on and off campus by providing an understanding and learning environment in which all students may flourish.
The mission of the Alliance is to serve as a safe place for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and straight students to talk about issues of sexual orientation and gender identity, to provide opportunities for open dialogue and discussion on these issues, and to promote a safe and respectful learning environment for all students regardless of sexual orientation.
The mission of Mi Gente (meaning "my people") is to promote understanding of and provide education about Latino culture and awareness. The group seeks to improve the campus and community by sharing the richness of Latino culture.
