Optional Events - For Sunday afternoon, there are limited tickets available for two events convenient to the downtown location of the conference hotel:
  1. You may purchase tickets to the Colorado Rockies vs. Kansas City Royals baseball game at Coors field for $19/each. One of the Regis Unviersity ITS staff will be the host, and will depart from the conference hotel at 12:30pm with those interested in attending.
  2. You may purchase tickets for a tour of the recently expanded Denver Art Museum for $12/each. These tours will take place between 1pm and 5 pm.

Reservations for these events can be made when you register for the conference.

Opening Reception - The conference will officially open with the traditional cocktail reception at a Denver landmark, descriptively referred to as "The Clocktower." The reception will begin at 5:00pm and to continue for two hours. At 7pm, we will break into groups for dinner at downtown restaurants (we'll have restaurant guides at the reception).

Breakfast at the Comfort Inn Downtown - The conference hotel offers breakfast for all who are staying at the hotel.

Transportation to Regis University - Buses will leave the hotel at 8am and 8:15am to take the 20 minute trip to Regis' Lowell Campus, located in North Denver.

Opening Remarks - At 8:45am, opening remarks will launch the session portion of the conference.

Plenary Session: "The IT Manager: A Dying Breed?" - At 9am, Gartner VP Mike Gerrard will present an intriguing compilation of research on the role of IT leadership.

CITM session - From 10:30am-11:45am, the CITM session will be a panel discussion on "IT Needs Assessment and Strategic Planning."

EdTech session - From 10:30am-11:45am, the EdTech session will be "Podcasting for Learning: Some Successes and Challenges."


Lunch - Lunch will be served at 11:45am in a room adjacent to the main conference center.

Joint - campus roundup and cracker barrell - Monday afternoon from 1pm to 4:15pm will be spent in campus roundup and "cracker barrel" sessions.

AJCU-CITM Dinner at Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Buses will leave Regis University at 4:30pm to return to the conference hotel. At 5:45pm, buses will depart from the conference hotel to make the 45 minute trip to Red Rocks Amphitheater, where a cocktail hour and dinner will occupy your evening.

Transportation to Regis University - Buses will leave the hotel at 8am and 8:15am to take the 20 minute trip to Regis' Lowell Campus, located in North Denver.

Plenary Session: ECAR Current Issues Report - At 9am, Educause Research Fellow Ron Yanosky will present ECAR current issues research findings, and then he'll take questions in a facilitated discussion.

CITM Session - From 10:45am-11:45, the CITM attendees will participate in the annual CITM Business Meeting.

EdTech Session - From 10:45am-11:45, EdTech attendees will participate in the annual EdTech business meeting.


Lunch - Lunch will be served at noon in a room adjacent to the main conference center.

Campus Tour - At 1:15pm, a tour of the Lowell Campus will take place. At 2:10, all conference attendees will pose for the traditional conference photo on the steps of Dayton Memorial Library.

CITM Session - From 2:30pm-3:30pm, the CITM group session will be a panel discussion called "Business Intelligence."

EdTech Session - From 2:30pm-3:30pm, two EdTech sessions are scheduled for this timeslot. The first is "Changing the Face of Blackboard," and the second is "Wiki Redux or Vicki's Wikis: Using wikis for personal, professional and collaborative administrative projects."

CITM Session - From 3:45pm-4:45pm, the CITM group session will be a panel discussion called "Mobility and Security."

EdTech Session - From 3:45pm-4:45pm, the EdTech group session will be "Disaster Recorvery: Perparing the Faculty."


Dine Denver - Buses will leave Regis Unviersity at 5pm for the conference hotel. Your conference materials will include a guide to restaurant choices convenient to the conference hotel with an encouragement for groups to form and to dine together.

Breakfast and checkout at the Comfort Inn Downtown - The conference hotel offers breakfast for all who are staying at the hotel. There will be a little extra time Wednesday morning so that everyone can check out of the hotel and have bags checked and stored for quick departure later in the day.

Sessions at Maggiano's Downtown - Attendees will need to walk two blocks to Maggiano's, where sessions will be held from 9am to 11:15am.

CIO Session - From 9am-11am, the CIOs will have open ended discussion. Suggested topics include business continuity planning, IT service management best practices, shared services/creative sourcing strategies.

CITM Session - From 9am-10am, the CITM group session will be a panel discussion entitled "Rich Media Infrastructure Policy."

EdTech Session - From 9am-10am, the EdTech group session will be "Web-conferencing Softwre Review."

CITM Session - From 10:15am-11:15am, the CITM group session will be a panel discussion entitled "New Learning Spaces."

EdTech Session - From 10:15am-11:15am, the EdTech group session will be "The Impact of Classroom Activities via Video on Distance Student Learning."


Box Lunch from Maggiano's - A box lunch will provide for flexibility for those who have to depart early. Others are welcome to stay and eat at Maggiano's.
