Undergraduate Transfer Credit

Graduate Students: If you would like information about transferring credits, please send your name and contact information to grdserv@regis.edu.
The information below applies to undergraduate students only.

Your transcripts from previous higher education are never out of date at Regis and you can transfer up to 98 credit hours from accredited institutions. To graduate with a degree from Regis University, you must take at least 30 credit hours from Regis.

Once your transcripts have been received, the Admissions Office will evaluate your file for acceptance of transfer credits from:

  • Regionally accredited colleges and universities you've previously attended, regardless of how long ago they were earned.
  • Military DD-214 or DD-295 forms (or notarized copies) and training certificates.
  • Documentation of courses completed through your employer or professional organization that have been recommended for academic credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).

Seamless Transfer

By taking up to 75% of your coursework through a community college and the remainder through Regis University, you can earn a Bachelor's degree from Regis. When you plan early with the help of your Regis University advisor, your credits from a community college will transfer - no repeat courses, no wasted credits, no surprises.

You may earn up to 98 credit hours at a community college and the remainder at Regis, depending upon your major. Your academic advisor will help you structure your degree plan to avoid duplication and unnecessary work.

Documents to be evaluated for transfer credit:

  • Official college transcript(s): sent directly to the Office of Admissions
  • Official national standard test (CLEP, DSST, USAFI etc.) score reports: sent directly to the Office of Admissions
  • Corporate training records: to be sent directly to the Office of Admissions form your Human Resources or training department on company letterhead. The letter must state the course title, course description and dates of attendance, and must be signed with the title, address, and phone number of the person signing. Include copies of any certificates you have earned.
  • Military records: send a notarized copy of your DD214 if discharged or DD 295 if active.
  • Military training certificates: all military basic training that has been approved for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE), along with many other types of military training.
  • Professional licenses and certificates: ask the certifying organization if its program is approved by the American Council on Education (ACE). If so, send a notarized copy of the license or certificate and include the standards, such as the testing or coursework used in granting the credential.
