Biography
I have twenty-two years of experience teaching at the High School, Middle School, and Elementary School levels. My most recent experience has been as a Literacy Specialist, working with students diagnosed with reading difficulties. My Special Education teaching ranges from working with students with learning disabilities to severely handicapped adults and adolescents to significantly emotionally disturbed children assigned to a self-contained classroom. I have extensive experiences collaborating, teaming, and coaching staff across the curriculum modeling best practices for students on Individual Literacy Plan's (ILP) and Individual Education Plan's (IEP). I am currently a Special Education/Literacy Teacher at Douglas County High School.
