Master of Arts

Master of Arts Program - Mission Statement

The MA program is designed for those who want to integrate the strength of interdisciplinary perspectives into the pursuit of their professional and educational goals. The MA faculty strives to facilitate a degree designed to address the unique needs of each student. Students acquire an academic perspective of their field of study and learn to use critical analysis tools. The program is delivered through independent study and classroom based courses.

Individualized Learning

The adult learning model is foundation of the Master of Arts Program. Each student has dreams and goals related to career and life choices. Because the MA Program encourages and fosters those dreams and goals, the graduate education attained by students is relevant, meaningful and supports continued professional and personal development. The three central principles of this program are:
  • The learner, within a mentored environment, charts the path toward achievement of graduate learning goals

  • Professional and personal relevance is incorporated into the individualized learning model.

  • The learning process is a collaborative and a network-building experience

The MA Program seeks to:

  • Provide students with an innovative learner-designed degree with a strong focus on professional or liberal studies specializations.

  • Meet graduate learning needs of students who wish to study academic and professional specialties that are not provided by other universities or are not addressed fully by current CPS graduate degrees.

  • Reach out to people from all walks of life that prefer individualization, flexibility, and experiential learning.

  • Extend the reach of the Regis University mission of developing “Leaders in Service of Others?with a specialized, diverse, and unique audience of adult learners.
