Master of Nonprofit Management - Online Option

The Master of Nonprofit Management degree can be completed entirely online with no residency requirements. The program is designed for those students who seek the flexibility and convenience of distance learning while receiving the built-in structure of traditional classroom sessions. Through web-based classes, students can pursue coursework in a variety of areas including Leadership, Nonprofit Program Management, and Resource Development.

  • Upon acceptance, students are given the website address (URL) where they can enroll in future classes, ask questions, order books and access additional details as to class timing, software locations, biographies of classmates and faculty, etc.

  • Using the technology of the Internet, students are able to research, discuss and access information in new and exciting ways. As with all learning at Regis University, education is interactive and facilitative. Through the power of the World Wide Web, e-mail, Inter Relay Chat and other technologies, you get to know and dialogue with fellow professionals throughout the country.

  • The MNM degree program is designed to be completed in twenty-four (24) months, taking one course at a time. All courses are three semester credit courses.

Program of Study

The Regis University MNM degree program requires the successful completion of a total of thirty-six (36) semester credits (twelve three credit hour courses).

Required Courses:

  • MNM 601 - Theory, and Future of the Nonprofit Sector (3)

  • MNM 612 - Advocacy and the Third Sector (3)

  • MNM 620 - Marketing and Public Relations for Nonprofits (3)

  • MNM 633 - Human Resources and Volunteer Management (3)

  • MNM 644 - Fiscal Management in Nonprofit Organizations (3)

  • MNM 647 - Program Management and Evaluation (3)

  • MNM 648 - Governance and Organizational Change (3)

  • MNM 655 - Leading From Within (3)

  • MNM 670 - Financial Resource Development (3)

  • MNM 677 - Service Oriented Field Experience (3)
    OR
  • MNM 697 - Professional Project (3)

The student must then take two elective courses from the remaining MNM 600 level courses, other CPS Graduate level courses, or courses from the Ruekert-Hartman College for Health Professions.

Students may also take topics in other CPS graduate programs. For example:

Practicum

Students without two years of nonprofit experience are required to complete a 400 hour practicum (not for credit). Students for whom the practicum is not required may still elect to participate in the program. Practica are coordinated through an MNM Assistant Professor.
