Students in Regis University's Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions have provided free medical assistance to Project Homeless Connect clients over the last few years.
Regis University takes an active role in the life of the Denver metro community, with involvement in a variety of activities, including active participation in local Chambers of Commerce, hosting organizations on campus and offering events open to the public at no charge. Regis University also strives to participate in the life of the Berkeley Neighborhood in which it is located.
One of the largest community projects ever completed by Regis University was a partnership with Denver’s Road Home, Mayor John Hickenlooper’s 10-year plan to end homelessness, to present Project Homeless Connect 5, which brought vital services to more than 1,000 homeless people from the metro area. On October 19, 2007, nearly 800 students, faculty, staff and alumni donated their time to service for this mission day.
