THE OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PROGRAM

Mission:

The Regis Outdoor Adventure Program serves as an outlet for the Regis community;

  • To contribute in outdoor activities guided by the Ignatius tradition of, "Finding God in all things."
  • To develop a deeper understanding of the wilderness through experiential, adventure, and environmental education.
  • To participate in intentionally designed activities that create an opportunity for spiritual reflection and leadership development.

What We Do/History:

The Regis Outdoor Adventure Program is an outdoor recreation and experiential learning program offering workshops, personal skill training, professional development, spiritual growth, and experiential activities. The Program’s educational philosophy emphasizes the use of experiential education. The program provides participants with outdoor learning experiences that are processed allowing time for reflection; then they are analyzed and synthesized.

Schedule of Trips!

OAP trips accommodate individuals of all levels of outdoor training and include personalized and focused structure for the needs of each group. All OAP sponsored trips are facilitated and/or guided by trained OAP staff. Outings are coordinated by seasonal and destination specific activities. Seasonal outings and clinics include recreation and skill-oriented clinics, guest speakers, presentations, local weekend outings, and extended outings.
