Summer Intensives

EXPERIENCE REGIS

SUMMER INTENSIVES 2010

July 11 - July 16

What are Summer Intensives?

The Summer Intensives Program offers students an exciting academic experience and the opportunity to complete a portion of their course work on the Regis University Main Campus in Denver, Co. Students do not complete all of the requirements for a three credit hour graduate level course in five days. There are assignments to be completed before arriving and, in addition, some courses require email participation in preparation for Intensive week. The first class meeting is Sunday of Intensive week at 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 8:30am – 5:00pm and on Friday from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Group work may require student meetings after the formal class day has ended. After the residential Summer Intensive Week, students will be given approximately 2 – 3 weeks to complete projects and final assignments. The exact requirements are outlined in each course syllabus/module which has been adapted for Summer Intensives.

Non-academic events are also a part of Summer Intensives. These include a light supper and refreshments before class on Sunday evening, a buffet luncheon on Monday, and a closing picnic celebration on Friday after class. Students’ family members and guests are encouraged to attend the picnic celebration. Students will also have an opportunity to meet with Faculty Advisors, Career Services Representatives, Financial Aid Officers, University Ministry and other student support services.
