Regis students seeking to erase the stigma and educate others about mental illness.
Active Minds is a non-profit group based out of Washington D.C. The Regis chapter is an undergraduate student group whose goal is to:
Destigmatize mental illness by promoting open, enlightened discussion of mental health issues; and to create a better life for all who suffer. To capitalize on the energy and dedication of young adults in the fight against the stigma that surrounds mental illness, and to educate, enlighten, and empower all young adults to ensure their own mental health before it ever reaches a tragic stage.
The Regis chapter hopes to accomplish this goal by:
Mission:
Promote mental health and suicide prevention n campus and in greater community through awareness
campaigns and educational programs
Train people to become suicide prevention gatekeepers
Engage students in activities that promote dialogue, awareness and change related to mental health
Perspective:
Focus on mental health just as we would physical health- a holistic approach to wellness
Everyone has a role to help our friends and community thrive
Everyone can help raise awareness of mental health through personal voice and public health action

The Ultimate Reality Show ,an acclaimed stage theatre production , “today”, performed alongside our student cast which confronts our campus issues through , and revealed through intense, provocative vignettes of psychotherapy sessions, interspersed with inspired original music. “today” shows perform with student actors your student cast confronts campus issues
Mask Project-Increasing Awareness
the mask project was To provide an artistic outlet for grief, depression , hope and healin. We all have a mask that we put on to show the world but what would that mask look like if we took it off?
Using Art to Increase Awareness
this program was to get campus community involved in a provocative and positive media campaign for suicide prevention and mental health promotion.
Canvases
students splattered paint on large canvasses on the quad, as a tribute to Jackson Pollack who suffered from mental illness and substance abuse. It also served as a great stress relieving activity for the 50 students who participated!
