Admission Requirements

Application for Regis University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program starting in Fall 2010 will be available between July 15, 2009 - November 2, 2009.

The deadline for submitting the application and all supporting documents for the 2010 academic year is November 2, 2009.

1. All applicants will apply for admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy professional entry program through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service which includes a supplemental application to Regis University.

2. Submit official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores to Regis University. The Regis University code is 4656. The Physical Therapy code is 0619. For additional GRE information, go to www.gre.org. Last acceptable GRE test date is October 15, 2009 for the current admission cycle.

3. Eligibility for the DPT program is pending the successful completion of a criminal background check. For a complete list of Disqualifying Offenses, click here.

4. Eligibility for the DPT program is pending the successful completion of the Essential Functions Forms. For a complete list of Essential Functions, click here.

5. DPT applicants who appear best qualified for the DPT program will receive a written invitation for a faculty interview conducted on date to be determined. All applicants will be notified in writing regarding interview status.

6. If English is not your native/first language, you must meet the following language proficiency requirement:

  1. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - minimum score of 82 (24 Writing, 20 Speaking, 22 Reading, 16 Listening) on the Internet-based TOEFL. Regis University's TOEFL code is 4656.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

There are specific requirements that you must meet to be considered for admission at Regis University.

  1. Submit an evaluation of foreign educational credentials from one of the agencies approved by Regis University. Approved agencies can be found at www.naces.org. Photocopies of the evaluation are not acceptable.
  2. Completed Supplemental application which is part of the online application.
  3. Copy of current Visa documents
  4. Copies of all old I-20’s (front & back) – (only required for students transferring from another US university/college)
  5. SEVIS Form – this form needs to be sent to the US university/college that the student attended in the US prior to acceptance to Regis. This form should be returned directly to the Registrars Office. This form will be sent to you upon application to RHCHP Admissions.
  6. Submit documentation of financial ability to pay all expenses for the course of study at Regis University and demonstrate adequate coverage for health insurance in the United States for issuance of an I-20 by the Office of the Registrar.
