Clinical Experience

During clinical experiences, you have the opportunity to integrate knowledge gained from courses and to expand your skills in evaluation, intervention, case management, and interpersonal communication.

To enter the field of physical therapy with a competitive edge, graduates need to be confident, autonomous practitioners. At Regis, you are given the opportunity to put the knowledge gained from your courses to use through clinical experiences. The hands-on experience available in the clinical setting allows you to expand upon your skills in evaluation, intervention, case management, and interpersonal communication. These experiences allow you to hit the ground running after graduation.

The clinical component of the program takes place off campus in clinical settings across the country. Currently, the department is affiliated with facilities throughout the country. Every effort is made to provide opportunities in a variety of clinical practice settings with diverse populations.

Rural areas often provide such opportunities and all students participate in such experiences either within or outside of Colorado. You are required to participate in a minimum of one clinical experience outside of Colorado to enrich your exposure to health care in different regions of the United States.
