Regis has lost a gifted teacher, valued colleague and dear friend as Dr. Dean Allison, former faculty member in the School of Pharmacy, passed away Oct. 31. He died peacefully following the onset of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was 51. While at Regis, Allison taught in the pharmacy skills laboratory and the integrated pharmacotherapy sequence. He had a compassionate heart and a deep loyalty to Regis and the School of Pharmacy. His easygoing demeanor, quick laugh and wry sense of humor were a gift to all that knew him. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his children, Hazel and Izzy; his mother Donna; and siblings Doug and Patsy. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura Ramsey. We are planning a memorial service in Regis Chapel on Friday, November 14 at 3 PM. There will be a reception following on Fortune Plaza or in the Mountain View Room in case of inclement weather. http://bit.ly/1ikoXkO.
