Cultivate Health welcomes local businesses and organizations to join in the effort of promoting healthy living throughout our community.


In 2014 Regis University was awarded a major grant by the Colorado Health Foundation to further fuel an effort aimed at promoting health and improving community connections in Northwest Denver, an area undergoing transformation driven by the leadership of area residents.

Aria Denver is a 17.5 acre mixed-use, mixed-income, inter-generational community for people who want to be sustainable and engaged with their neighborhood. Located at the Northeast corner of 52nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard, Aria Denver is supporting Cultivate Health by providing land for permaculture, production and community gardens, a hydroponic greenhouse and an adult outdoor fitness zone. Aria developers, Urban Ventures and Perry Rose, are spearheading the implementation of pedestrian and bicycle enhancements throughout the Chaffee Park and Regis neighborhoods in addition to making Aria a walkable, connected community. 

Cultivate Health has collaborated with the Chaffee Park Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) on many community events and public meetings. We have a presence almost every month at the RNO meeting, offering time and resources to projects that are of interest to community members. In our work with the Chaffee Park Registered Neighborhood Organization, Cultivate Health has collaborated with Sustainable Neighborhoods on events in the community such as a Movie in Zuni Park for Denver Days, and StoryFest: A Northside Show & Tell.


A Denver Public School in the Chaffee Park neighborhood. Students at Beach Court receive bicycle education through the Cultivate Health grant in partnership with Bicycle Colorado, host Zumba classes, and are a site for Cooking Matters nutrition classes. 


Bicycle Colorado offers education and advocacy to make Colorado one of the most bicycle friendly states. It hosts Cultivate Health bicycle classes for adults and children in the Cultivate Health service area.


Bon Appetit Management Company

Bon Appetite Management Company is working toward food service for a sustainable future, providing fresh, local food for Cultivate Health meetings and events. 


A partner in coordinating events and improvements to the built environment for the Cultivate Health community. 



Cooking Matters is ending childhood hunger by helping families make healthy food choices. Our programs help parents and caregivers struggling with limited food budgets learn how to shop for and cook healthy, affordable meals. Cooking Matters is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization working to end hunger and poverty.


A part of our growing network of partner organizations whose work insures access to fresh food and education. Denver Urban Gardens manages nearly 150 community gardens in the Metro Denver area, a community farm in Aurora and offers a multitude of training programs designed to empower participants to educate their communities.

 Guardian Angels Catholic Church hosts Cultivate Health programming including: nutrition classes, bicycle events for the community, and partners with us on a number of other healthy eating/active-lifestyle programming. We have also collaborated on the expansion of the school garden with help from the Center for Food Justice through Regis University.


Project Recycle donated 300 bikes to Beach Court Elementary School in 2014.


Cultivate Health has been working closing with the Denver Foundation on utilizing the Asset-Based Community Development approach. We have completed more than 70 “learning conversations” in the last three months, building relationships in the community and identifying community assets.

The Trust for Public Land creates parks and protects land, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. The Trust for Public Land is installing two Fitness Zones® in Zuni Park and Aria Denver as a part of the Cultivate Health project. 


WalkDenver conducted a walkability audit of the Regis/Chaffee Park neighborhood that evaluated pedestrian infrastructure elements throughout the neighborhood. The walkability audit outlined a preliminary path for a neighborhood Wellness Walk. The audit outlined key neighborhood destinations, recommended connection routes and provided preliminary locations for wayfinding signs. 

 The Warren Village First Step provides a one-year transitional living program for women and children, and is part of the Aria development. Their residents have participated and led Cultivate Health programming such as an art project with Aria Apartments in which children painted placards for the plants in the Cultivate Health permaculture gardens.

UrbiCulture Community Farms is a multi-plot farm committed to providing food to people of all income levels by sustainably growing affordable, local food in the Denver metro area. In partnership with Cultivate Health, Sister Gardens was created in 2013 to provide the Chaffee Park, Berkley Hills and Adams County community better access to fresh, affordable, produce that is grown right where it is purchased, while sharing knowledge about nutrition through affordable classes, engaging citizens in urban farming, and building a stronger sense of connection within the community through a mutual love of food.


Berkeley Community Church is hosting a weekly Cultivate Health community yoga class that is free to the public. Healthy Living Coordinator Linnea Bjorkman is teaching the class in both English and Spanish.


With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Colorado Health Foundation, ULI is investigating best practices to reinvent the Federal Blvd corridor in health-promoting ways. This work will help advance efforts to foster places that promote health for the people who live, work, and travel on Federal Blvd.

In partnership with Cultivate Health, Aria Denver, and the Denver Office of Economic Development, Groundwork Greens is a social enterprise that grows and sells fresh produce in low-income food desert areas, while also providing job training to low-income youth. Their 1,800 square foot greenhouse is located within the Aria Denver Community at West 52nd Avenue and Federal Blvd.

Ricardo Flores Magon Academy is hosting a weekly Cultivate Health community yoga class that is taught by a community member and is free to the public. The class is in both English and Spanish. We have also worked with RFMA on various community events including a Legal Night with CLLARO and other local non-profits, supporting immigrant families in the surrounding neighborhoods. 

Streetscapes collaborated with Cultivate Health and Guardian Angels Catholic School on the design and installation of bike racks for the students. 

Wish for Wheels donates bikes and volunteers their time at neighborhood events in partnership with Cultivate Health, Bicycle Colorado, and neighborhood schools.

Clinica Teyeyac is hosting a weekly Cultivate Health community yoga class that is free to the public. The class is in both English and Spanish.

Elevations Cycles offers their time and resources to offer bike tune-ups at our Bicycle Colorado Bike Rodeos.

The Noshery, Dubbel Dutch, and Goldspot partner with Cultivate Health and various other Regis University Departments to offer Bike to Work Day Stations and After-parties.
