The Regis University Technology Training Center offers training programs that increase the Regis University community’s understanding and use of technology. These programs provide, refresh, and promote core technology skills that enhance productivity and effectiveness at Regis University.

The Regis University Technology Training Center offers free training programs, both face-to-face and online, for faculty, staff and students. We want to meet the training needs of busy adults and students, reach users of all skill levels, and remove the intimidation of learning new technology.

Formats include:

Just-in-Time learning – quick reference guides, tutorials, videos on demand.
Workshops – hands-on, "show me how" step-by-step lessons in a computer lab within an hour.
Online – the Regis Learns site (http://regislearns.regis.edu), self-paced tutorials and links to other training resources.

To register for any of these pre-scheduled training sessions, please submit a request through the Regis University Service Portal.

Include the name of the training, date, and time.  For assistance, please call the Help Center at 303-458-4050. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled workshops you may request a one-on-one training through the portal at https://services.Regis.edu

Log in with your Regis username and password and search for “Training.” You will be prompted to fill out a request form with your contact information and a brief description. Please include the name of training, date, and time. 

Office 365 / OneDrive

Office 365 is the University's online Microsoft suite and OneDrive for Business is part of Office 365 and is similar to Dropbox. Learn about accessing the Office Web Apps. Office 365 is easy to use, and allows you to work on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files using a web browser and share documents by providing a link through email.

SharePoint Team Sites

SharePoint Team Site is a part of Office 365. It is a cloud platform to store, edit, and share files with your department/team. All sites come with certain elements, such as a Documents Library. The site is accessible from any device and from anywhere.

Advanced PowerPoint Skills  

You've got the basics covered, but let's go further into designing master templates, original graphics and transitions. Explore these robust features, shortcuts, and more in our newest 60-minute workshop. 

Barracuda Q&A 
Barracuda email security system provides advanced threat protection against spam, malware, and viruses. You may be receiving email quarantine reports from Barracuda Essentials. Your email quarantine is managed from the report emailed to you, and no initial set up steps are required, however, there is a chance of legitimate email being flagged. Learn more about the email quarantine report, view an example of the quarantine message report, and learn the steps to configure optional settings like your personal safe sender list and quarantine report frequency. Bring your questions to this workshop!

Beginning Excel

Learn how to accomplish these tasks by the end of the lesson: Enter text and numbers into an Excel worksheet; use AutoFill; format cells to display text and numbers effectively; perform basic calculations; use AutoSum; print a workbook. 

Best Practices for Presentations 
Regis faculty, staff and students all use PowerPoint for presentations. This is a workshop that offers good advice on designing strong presentation templates, use of color and images, and tips for leaving a good impression on your audience. 

Creating Infographics 
Infographics can be created to bring your data or concept to life. This is an interactive design workshop to learn the process from start to finish using two free tools, Visme and Canva.  

Learn How to Create a Strong Password and Other Security Awareness Tips 
Learn the latest tips to understand the mechanisms of spam, phishing, malware and other online dangers, and apply this knowledge to your daily life.

Office 365/OneDrive

Organizing Your Outlook Calendar
Staying organized can be difficult, but the Outlook calendar can help you stay on top of your busy schedule. The outlook calendar has many different features that may be useful to you, such as color coding your appointments, setting reminders, and managing multiple calendars. 

Outlook Tips and Tricks  
This workshop offers different ways to become more comfortable with Outlook and its many features. You will learn how to create folders to organize information, how to filter information, and how to handle junk mail. You will also learn different features of your email, such as creating a signature, using the vote tool, and flagging emails.  

Publisher
Microsoft Publisher allows you to produce newsletters, fliers, and multiple-page layouts using creative templates, graphics, photos, and more. 

REALS Room - Main Hall 305 
Experience this newly-equipped interactive classroom. We will introduce the REALS concept (Regis Engaging and Adaptive Learning Space), the features including portable furniture, interactive touch screen display monitor, camera, and mics. This room is completely ADA compliant.

Microsoft Visio is a diagramming and vector graphics application and is part of the Microsoft Office. Easily create versatile diagrams using a rich set of shapes, stencils, and templates.

Zoom is a video conferencing and web conferencing tool. Learn about this easy-to-use tool. A microphone and computer are the minimum tools you need but you may also use a webcam as well.
