The graduate academic certificate represents a selection of courses from the Master of Science programs. These courses could eventually be included in a CCIS graduate student's program of study or stand alone as courses beyond the degree requirements. Certificates may also be completed as an add-on to a full degree program.

Prerequisites

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor's degree within the past two years in a relevant computer information sciences field is required. Applicants who possess a baccalaureate degree must be either from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or a recognized institution in another nation equivalent to a U.S. regionally accredited bachelor's degree.*
  • A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is recommended.*
    *Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 and/or those applicants who do not meet the work experience requirement will be considered on an individual basis and will be required to take one 500-level foundational course (3 credits) prior to beginning their 600-level graduate program coursework. A grade of “B” or better must be achieved in the 500-level foundational course to continue progressing through the 600-level graduate program coursework.
