Erin Trumble, Undergraduate Academic Advisor What are your hobbies and interests? Hiking, reading, history, and swimming. Tell us about your family life? I live in a house with two friends. But, I live next door to my parents and my two younger sisters. My parents own both houses, so it keeps my rent reasonable (in return for yardwork and the like). Do you have any pets? Not in my home, but my parents have two cats and a dog who come over to visit from time to time. Where did you grow up or call home? Edgewater, Colorado. What do you like to eat? Everything, but Mexican food is my go-to. What do you like to brag about? I know more about Abigail Adams than most. How long have you been in your current position? Almost 2 months What do you do at Regis and why is it important to you? I am an academic advisor here at Regis. After high school I started coaching swimming and I fell in love with being in a coaching/ advising role. I knew that it was a role I wanted to pursue for my career, so I couldn’t be happier to be here. What are you passionate about and what is most important to you? I am passionate about history and my family is most important to me. Who do you look up to? My mom. She went back to school when my sisters and I were young in order to get her bachelors. I still can’t imagine how she pulled it off while working full time and dealing with the headache of three kids. In regard to your personal goals, where you see yourself in 5 to10 years? That is a tough one. Hopefully I will have finally purchased a house (good luck in this market) and I will be continuing to be the best version of myself that I can be. What have your life experiences taught you? It can be summed up in my favorite quote from my favorite book, Anne of Green Gables “It’s not what the world holds for you, it’s what you bring to it.” If you could create any program, what is it and why? Probably any program that would involve studying and discussing history all the livelong day. What is your favorite memory? My grandparents had a cabin that was located about an hour outside of Ouray, CO. There was no electricity and no indoor toilet, but I have yet to find memories that top those of my summers spent there as a kid. What is your favorite book/ author? Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I’ve read the series all the way through at least 9 times since I received the set as a gift for my 10th birthday. When asked, would you rather… Watch, Star Wars, or Star Trek?
