Regis Proud Janna Oakes, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Education From my experience working in higher education for 22 years, I know that Regis is unique and special. Where I share my time and talents is important; it’s not just how we work and what we teach, it’s about serving others and passion for the work. Regis allows me to practice my craft in a values-based environment, and it is a privilege to work at an institution where the Jesuit mission speaks to me on a personal level. This University has a big capacity for love. I have seen this in more than one instance over the past two and a half years, and I am honored and blessed to work here. Supporting the University financially is my gift of gratitude. The students who benefit from Regis might not have had these opportunities if it weren’t for generous donors. I recently decided to change my monetary gift from restricted to unrestricted use because it is my responsibility to help Regis in the ways the University needs it most. The world can be a hard place to navigate at times, but at Regis, even though it’s not in our job descriptions, we are concerned about the welfare of others. Janna Oakes is one of the 222 Regis University faculty and staff members who made contributions in 2013-14 totaling more than $109,000. THANK YOU, Janna and every member of the Regis community who gives back to Regis services, programs, scholarships and students each year. As a faculty and staff donor, Janna is Regis Proud.
