How long does it take to receive a Certificate of Eligibility? Processing times vary based on VA workload. On average, the Department of Veterans Affairs processes a Certificate of Eligibility within 4-6 weeks. How do I apply for GI Bill® benefits? Online at www.gibill.va.gov through VONAPP (VA Online Application). Do I qualify for Yellow Ribbon? Generally, veterans with a minimum of 36 months of active duty service qualify for the 100% benefit rate may qualify for Yellow Ribbon. To determine eligibility, veterans must apply for Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits with the VA. The VA will issue a Certificate of Eligibility which lists your eligibility for Yellow Ribbon. You will then need to check with your VA representative to see if your program qualifies. What does this Mean? For all Chapter 33 recipients Regis certifies tuition after the add/drop date of each course. You will always receive updates from the VA showing that credit hours were certified, but not tuition. How do I receive payment of my VA benefits? The VA makes payment directly to the veteran by (1) direct deposit or (2) mailing a check to the mailing address on file at the VA. To establish or change your direct deposit information, click on the Direct Deposit Enrollment Form link after you have logged into WAVE. Changes and enrollments are usually processed the next business day. Under Montgomery GI Bill®(Ch 30 and 1606) and REAP: If you attend school, you must verify your enrollment each month by using the WAVE or IVR system or by calling the toll free 1.877.823.2378. Remember that you cannot be paid for a month until the month is over and you verify that you were still in attendance for that month. Under Post-9/11 GI Bill®: The VA will send the tuition and fees directly to Regis University. The VA will send a book stipend (if applicable) directly to you near the beginning of the term (or once your enrollment is processed). The VA will send the housing allowance (if applicable) directly to you at the end of each month you have an enrollment. Under Dependent and Eligible Spouse: The VA will pay the student directly via check What constitutes full-time enrollment at Regis University? Regis College reports using the conventional 16 week fall/ spring/summer semester schedule. To be considered a full-time student at Regis College, a student will need to be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester. Regis College for Professional Studies reports in both five week and eight week increments. To be considered full-time a CPS student must be enrolled in at least six credit hours concurrently in each reporting period. As an active member of the United States Armed Forces, you're eligible for Tuition Assistance (TA) at Regis. Undergraduate Students Flat reduced tuition rate of $275 per credit hour. Who Qualifies? Active duty students working toward an undergraduate degree in the accelerated evening or online format only within the following colleges: College of Contemporary Liberal Studies Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions (BS in Health Care Administration and RN-BSN only) College of Computer & Information Sciences College of Business and Economics Graduate Students Active duty students receive a 10% discount on tuition. You must submit it with your Tuition Assitance (TA) paperwork. Do I need to fill out the Preferred Tuition Form every year? Yes. In order to ensure your discount doesn’t lapse, make sure to fill out the form annually by June 1. What if a Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is paying for my courses? Prior to an upcoming semester, a DVR representative will provide a list of students sponsored by their branch. To ensure you are sponsored, confirm your status with your division and make sure this documentation is sent to Student Account Representative at email@example.com as soon as possible. Can I defer my tuition costs? The Military Deferment option is available to active-duty military students in the College of Contemporary Liberal Studies (CCLS), College of Computer & Information Sceinces (CC&IS), College of Business and Economics (CBE), Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions (RHCHP) and Regis College Master of Arts in Education. The Military Deferment option defers your tuition due date 90 days after the start of the course’s academic period. Students with a past due balance on their student account are not eligible for this active duty benefit. There is no cost to defer. Present proof of active military service at any campus location with this completed form. Your deferment status will remain effective through your military ID expiration date. To qualify, submit the form along with proof of active military service on or before the tuition due date. We will use the expiration date on your proof of military service to determine eligibility. If your ID is renewed, you must resubmit a copy of your ID. Tuition due dates are always the same as the course’s add/drop date. What is the Military Tuition Assistance Form? Military Tuition Assistance is a benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Congress has given each service the ability to pay up to 100 percent for the tuition expenses of its members. Each service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application processes and restrictions. This money is usually paid directly to the institution by the individual services.
